Mis-matched Flower Earrings

I made these flower earrings from sterling silver. I've used traditional silversmithing methods to create them. To start I used a jewellers saw to hand saw out the little flower shapes. I then domed the petals to give a 3D effect. I have soldered little balls of recycled silver into the center of each flower, and then soldered the stem onto the back.

Each flower is different, as I think mis-matched earrings are fun! One also has a longer stem than the other, so they hang at different lengths. One hangs at 2 inches (5cm) and the other at 1 3/4 inches (4.5cm). These measurements include the sterling silver ear wire.

I've given the earrings a dark patina finish, which I have then brushed up and polished to give a nice finish. Rustic but still shiny!

Will arrive in a gift box.
